Questions about Cambridge
Is it best to come by car or by public transport?Well, that depends on how long you intend to stay and how much free time you have to explore. I most definitely would come by train and leave my car elsewhere if only staying for a couple of days. Cambridge with its small centre and limited city parking often is a nightmare to access. I talk about Park and Ride facility on the Trains to London page, so have a read there. If however you want to go further afield and explore the countryside and villages of course a car is essential. |
I am thinking about booking a room at a hotel in Cherry Hinton rd, could you tell me how far it is from the centre and if it is a pleasant area?I know Cherry Hinton rd very well as it was my route to school for years. Yes there are several hotels located there and I believe they are all of a high standard. Cherry hinton rd itself is nothing special, located at the south of the city, its a long rd that also connects the east and the west of the city. There is a good bus service that accesses Cherry Hinton the village and the main hospital, Addenbrooks Hospital. The residential streets that run off Cherry hinton rd and much sought after well-to-do streets. There are several groupings of shops along its length and also a pub with live music. |
